What is an Interfold Hinge?

An interfold hinge is a type of hinge that connects two panels together. It allows the panels to open and close easily, while still maintaining a strong connection between them. The hinges are usually made of metal and have two parts: one part attaches to the edge of one panel, while the other part attaches to the edge of the second panel. When closed, these parts fit together snugly, forming a secure seal that prevents air from entering or leaving through gaps in between the panels.

How Does an Interfold Hinge Work?

An interfold hinge has two main components: a hinge pin and two flanges that fit into each other when closed. The pin is inserted through both flanges, creating a pivot point for each panel to move independently from each other when opened or closed. This makes it easy for users to adjust the angle at which they want their panels opened or closed without having to use tools or extra hardware. The flanges also help keep dust and debris out by providing an extra seal around the edges of both panels when they are joined together.

Benefits of Using Interfold Hinges

Interfold hinges offer many benefits over traditional types of hinges due to their simple design and easy installation process. They can be used in applications where space is limited since they don’t require any additional hardware or tools for installation unlike some other types of hinges do.
