If you can’t prevent people from spreading your nudes, the next-best thing you can do is prevent them from ever knowing the said nudes belong to you.
Unfortunately, this is a time-consuming procedure. So let’s start with the most obvious:
- Never put your face in a photo.
- Make the background unremarkable. Birthmarks and tattoos, for example, can be hidden or omitted.
After that, you’ll need to anonymize the photo file. All images, including those shot with a smartphone or tablet, contain how, when, and where they were taken. This is known as EXIF data, and you should remove it from any images you might need to give away in the future.
It’s as simple as uploading your images on your Windows computer, opening the “properties” window, and clicking the “remove properties and personal information” tab.
You should now have a sultry, disembodied photo that:
(a) Does not physically identify you
(b) Does not contain any damning EXIF data.
